Guess The Person Controls
Guess The Person uses the same four verbs on every device: sit, pick, press, flip. The pointer changes. The rules do not. This hub is the verb list. Device pages underneath are the fingers.
The four verbs
Sit in a lobby chair or press Play Alone. Pick the secret face before the timer force-picks a loud tile. Press a question button, then a yes or no when you are answering. Flip every illegal tile on the opponent board. Guess when one face remains. That chain is also the how to play page in control language.
If a verb fails, you are either already seated, already in a match, or covering a button with the jump control. Device fixes are on PC controls and mobile controls.
HUD pieces you actually touch
- Question strip: the only legal way to ask.
- Yes / No: the only legal way to answer.
- Tiles: click or tap to flip. Auto Flip clicks them for you if you bought the 15 Robux pass on gamepasses.
- Guess lock: commits a name and starts the other chair’s window.
- Shop / emotes: lobby only. Do not open them on a question timer.
Chat is social. Chat is not a control. Typing a question is wasted time.
Why Auto Flip is a control pass
Auto Flip is not a damage multiplier. It is a control correction. It removes the mis-flip, which is the mobile death and the tired PC death. If your losses are “I left two glasses tiles up after a no,” buy the pass. If your losses are “I guessed at six faces,” the pass will not help. Read how to win instead.
Practice without the client
The board tracker is a click trainer for flips. The question helper is a trainer for which verb to press next. Use them beside the match, not instead of sitting in a chair.
New players treat controls as a settings page. They are not. Guess The Person does not give you a keybind screen, a sensitivity slider, or a ping display that matters. The entire input model is proximity plus a pointer. If sit fails, walk closer. If a question fails to register, you double-tapped. If a tile stays up after a no, you flipped the wrong board or you missed one hat in the back row. Those three failures explain almost every “the game is broken” complaint in launch-month servers.
Read this hub once, then drill the device page that matches your hands. PC players lose on camera and on secret-face reflections. Mobile players lose on jump overlapping yes. Both lose when they open shop on a pick timer. The lobby map is the geography of those mistakes. The first match walkthrough is the script that uses the four verbs in order instead of exploring the grass thumbnail like it is an RPG.
Auto Flip sits in this conversation because it is the only pass that changes a control, not a payout. 2x Crowns does not click tiles. Kitsune does not sit you down. If your hands are the problem, spend 15 Robux or slow down. If your brain is the problem, leave the shop and open best questions. Mixing those two diagnoses is how people buy the wrong pass and still snipe at eight faces.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions that actually come up.
Is there a unique ability key?
No. No dash, no ultimate. Sit, press, flip.
Can I rebind questions?
No custom binds. You pick from the shipped strip.
Does controller work?
Treat it like mobile: focus on hitboxes. If sit is awkward, use a pointer.
Where is Play Alone?
Lobby HUD. Mapped on the lobby map page.
