Best Guess The Person Questions

You cannot type a clever question in Guess The Person. You press the buttons the studio shipped. The skill is order. Openers should split the grid. Mid-game buttons should split whatever is still standing. This page is the order, with the same faces you see on the picnic-table art: glasses, beanies, crowns, beards, loud hair.

Guess The Person boards with several faces already flipped after a girl question

S-tier openers

Gender is the first button for a reason. The official art even jokes “IS IT A GIRL? / NO.” That split is visible, huge, and cheap. Glasses is next on most boards because several tiles wear frames and several do not. Hats (beanie, cap, crown) are third when the grid is wearing them. Facial hair is third when it is not.

These four are S and A on the question tier list. Use them before hair color unless the remaining set is already same-gender, same-glasses. The question helper will nag you if you skip a larger split.

Hair color is situational

Pink, orange, and grey hair pop off the board. Brown hair does not. Asking brown hair as question one on a brown-heavy grid is a 16-to-4 disaster. Save color for when gender and glasses already fired. Bald is a color question in disguise. Use it when three or more smooth heads remain, not as a personality bit.

Accessories after the grid shrinks

Crowns, green hats, and unique shirts are identification questions. They are excellent at five tiles and embarrassing at twenty-four. If you press crown first, you either get a coin-flip of one tile or you wasted a turn to flip a single king. Identification is endgame. Splitting is opening. Mixing them is how people say the game is luck.

Auto Flip will slam the legal tiles either way. It will not save a bad button. Price and value sit on gamepasses.

A sample eight-question line

  1. Gender.
  2. Glasses.
  3. Hat or facial hair, whichever splits closer to half.
  4. Hair color if a loud color still has four-plus tiles.
  5. Bald or beard, whichever still has a real group.
  6. Specific hat type if two hats remain.
  7. The last visible accessory.
  8. Name guess when one tile remains.

That line is a template, not a script. Look at their board after every answer. The how to win page is the discipline around this list. The how to play page is the physical actions.

Questions that feel smart and are not

Anything you would ask in a celebrity 20 questions party, such as “are they a YouTuber,” is not on this button strip. If you are hunting for it, you are in the wrong game. This board is faces, not fame. Skin tone questions appear on some Guess Who clones; only press them if the studio actually shipped the button. Do not chat them.

Practice the line against the bot using beat the bot until you stop opening with jokes. Then take it into a human chair.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions that actually come up.

What is the single best first question?

Gender, unless the remaining set is already one gender because you are mid-match.

Is glasses always second?

When plenty of tiles have frames. If glasses already split 2 and 20, pick hats or facial hair instead.

Can I ask custom questions?

No. Button only. Custom questions are a different genre.

Does the helper replace this page?

The helper ranks a live set. This page teaches the default order so you are not blind if you play without a second screen.
